Adv FW18: Family Portraits, Crossing Generations
The vision of Creative Director Rocco Iannone for Pal Zileri acquires a strong iconographic presence and a filmic consistency with the launch of his ADV campaign for the fall winter 2018 Collection.
In Villa Valmarana “Ai Nani”, a jewel of Palladian architecture frescoed by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo, a series of portraits shot by Johan Sandberg, pay tribute to Venetian painting, generating an anthology of #PalZileriPortraits. Pictured in the campaign, seven men of different ages, but belonging to the same family, united by strong ethical and aesthetic bonds. In the group shots, similarities and differences unfold: looks, poses, and stances communicate a sense of natural individuality, but all the characters shares the same ethos and virtues, crystalizing them as true Pal Zileri men. Heralds of the virtues of the contemporary men, effortless and nonchalant, the members of this cross generational clan, seem to have arrived from a journey, but are ready to depart again, to manifest anywhere the bonding of tradition and modernity.
Rocco Iannone’s debut for Pal Zileri marks a new beginning for the brand and echoes the nature of its history: dignified and nonchalant men’s suits that attest to a calm, rebellious nature.
Extending beyond the boundaries of tailoring, the cornerstone of the house, to confidently exploring an unusual palette of rich burnt tones combined with flashes of unabashed colour. Outerwear and knitwear break free from orthodoxy in voluptuous, decisive volumes that tell a story of artisanship yet untold. These pictorial nuances, enriched with noble and precious materials, turn into a sensory narrative told through tailored suits and jackets for men.
